    Mini-DisplayPort is a miniaturized version of DisplayPort, the newest digital display interface developed by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). We have a collection of Mini-DP adapters that will allow you to connect your new laptop to the widely used current standards of VGA, DVI or HDMI.   Although DisplayPort's signal is not compatible with HDMI or DVI, dual-mode ports (which are marked with DP++ logo) can use DisplayPort wires to transmit single-link HDMI and DVI signals which are then converted to higher signal levels by passive external adapters. Dual-link DVI and analog VGA are supported through powered electronic adapters which perform active conversion.   AUDIO:

    • This adapter will provide audio on the HDMI port if your source device supports and is configured to allow audio pass through. If you're not sure, please check with the manufacturer or website to confirm if your device allows audio out through the Mini-DP interface.
    •  If your unit does not support audio pass through, then our MPMS/RCA cables and adapters are a good alternative

    These are passive adapter cables that require a source with a DP++ port, meaning that HDMI signals are passed through the port, when this adapter is detected.


    This device is not Bidirectional. It can only connect a Mini-DisplayPort source to an HDMI display. It will not work in reverse.
