RedMere® technology is directional - one end must be connected to the source device and the other end connected to display device. Connecting the cable backwards will not damage anything but it won't work

Even though these cables are directional they are still compatible with HDMI switches, splitters, matrix devices, and can be used in applications where a HDMI extender would normally be required

Please Note: Only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables will cause them to fail because each is trying to do the same thing
